Frequently Asked Questions

Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most.

What is your Flat Fee “Assist and List” program?

Our “Assist and List” program is designed to put more money in your pocket when you sell your home. We offer a reduced fee to put your home on the MLS and 100’s of other Realtor websites for maximum Buyer exposure. You only pay a commission to a Buyer’s agent if they bring you a buyer and their contract is accepted. If you find a Buyer on your own, you only pay our listing fee, which is a fraction of the cost.

Do I need to meet with you in person to get my home listed?

No, we don’t need to meet in person to get your home on the market or at any point during the transaction.

How long does it take to get my home listed on the MLS?

We are typically able to put your home on the MLS within 1-3 days of received the signed paperwork and photos of your home.

How is my home shown to Buyers?

Buyers or their Agent (if the Buyer is represented) will reach out to you to show your home. You have the option to have an electronic key box on your home that agents can access if you don’t want to be present. You can also hold Open Houses to attract more Buyers to your home.

Home long does it take to receive the sign and lock box?

Once your order has been processed, you will have the sign and lockbox within 2-3 business days. You will receive tracking information from the shipper for the most up to date shipping information.

Will my phone number be on the MLS?

Yes, your phone number will be on the MLS but will only be visible to Agents, not Buyers. If you choose to have a sign in your yard, you will have a dedicated phone number that will be forwarded to you.

How do potential Buyers contact me?

On your real estate sign and/or flyers, you will have a dedicated phone number with a unique extension that will be forwarded to you.

How will I get offers?

Depending on the listing package you choose, agents will either email offers directly to you or they will email them to us and we will present them to you as they are received.

Can I cancel at any time?

If you are not pleased with our service, you can cancel the listing at any time prior to entering into contract. There is no additional fee to cancel your listing.

Will Buyer’s agents be reluctant to show my home?

Since you are offering commission to the Buyer’s agent if they secure a Buyer for your home, they have the same incentive to show your home the same as they would any other on the MLS. Your listing will look no different than others on the Multiple Listing Service.

Who handles the paperwork?

Depending on the listing package and/or any add-on services that you choose, the paperwork will either be handled by you or by Assist and List.

Can put my home on the MLS without a Realtor?

No, only a licensed Realtor who is a member of the National Association of Realtors, CA Association of Realtors, AND their local board can put a home on the MLS.

How do I know how to price my home?

We can provide you with a Market Analysis report that shows you what comparable homes in the neighborhood have sold for. In the report, there is also an informative “Intelligent Pricing and Timing” chart to help you decide on the best list price.

Can I use my own photos on the MLS or do I need to hire a profession photographer?

You have the option to use your own photos or hire a professional photographer. The MLS requires that the main photo be the exterior of your home. Remember that the photos will be the Buyer’s first impression, so it may be worth the extra expense of paying a professional.
